To fully receive and share the gifts of this Congregation in order to love God, love and serve our neighbors and to protect the Earth in all aspects of our lives.
Care for the Earth
Peace United Church of Christ glorifies the earth as God’s holy ground and ministers to the well-being of all creation. We are committed to caring for our church campus and beyond. We seek to honor and restore our common home through action and sustainable living on the land that has been entrusted to us.
Our faith encourages Christian growth and embraces a wide range of daily spiritual practices. We confess Christ’s gospel, addressing the crucial issues of our time.
We cherish children in our congregation, along with our elders…and everyone in between! At Peace United, we support all families in their spiritual lives and everyday journeys. We seek to offer life-giving programs for all ages, with meaningful connections for intergenerational relationships, spiritual growth, curiosity, and discipleship. We look to serve each other and plan for future generations of this church.
Justice and Peacemaking
Peace United Church of Christ serves the wider community by acting prophetically and courageously for peace and justice in the world. We are an open and affirming church of radical inclusion and daring Christian discipleship through small groups, ministry teams, community service and advocacy in Santa Cruz County and the world.
Music and the Arts
We are a congregation that embraces music and the arts, weaving artistic excellence into worship, spiritual formation, mission, and community gatherings. We focus on the spiritual uplift of our music and the arts among our members -- singing, dancing, playing, creating – along our path to spiritual wholeness. The gathering spaces of our church encourage the Congregation and community to celebrate the healing power of the arts.
Our life together is animated by the wonder and gratitude we experience for God’s creation. On our cherished church grounds we experience beauty, deep rest, and renewal of spirit, both in private contemplation and in beloved community.
