Meditation & Contemplation
If spiritual life is a practice, rooted in our daily choices and lives, then contemplation is a key ingredient.
For some, this means daily meditation or prayer. For others, it means a deliberate attitude of mindfulness in the midst of life. At Peace United, we try to come together in various ways to stimulate your practice and encourage you on the way!

Each Contemplative Sabbath is an opportunity for silence in community, as we set aside an entire day on a silent campus, enjoying space for reflection, prayer, meditation, even eating in silent community.
We also set up the church's canvas labyrinth in the quiet sanctuary for walking meditation and contemplation. Lanakila is our host. The day begins at 9 am and ends after evening vespers/prayers at 7:30 pm.

Passage Meditation:
Classes and Practice
Passage meditation is a particular practice and revolves around the important teachings of Eknath Easwaran.
Among several emphases, it focuses attention and meditation on memorized writings of the mystical tradition. At Peace United, Forest regularly teaches this practice and invites friends to weekly practice and conversation. Be in touch with Forest for more information.
